HVAF of Indiana provides housing and reintegration services to veterans experiencing homelessness; and administer programs and services to prevent at-risk veterans from becoming homeless. We have a number of programs and services that help veterans in need, including our Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program which helps prevent veterans from becoming homeless.

Wish List

The mission of the Indiana Veterans' Home is to honor Indiana's veterans and their spouses by providing the highest level of care in a therapeutic home-like environment, enhancing health and yielding optimal quality of life.
To do this and meet the unique needs of these heroes and their families, we deliver compassionate and comprehensive skilled care while integrating arts and cultural programming and preserving the rich history of the Home.

Indy Honor Flight transports WWII, Korea and Vietnam veterans to see their memorials in Washington, D.C.  For free!
Indy Honor Flight is a non-profit organization created solely to honor Indiana’s veterans for their service and sacrifice.  Top priority is given to the oldest veterans.  Our goal is to get the most senior veterans to visit the memorials built for them before it is too late.  We also give priority to terminally ill veterans.

Additional Volunteer Opportunities

Throughout the year we have opportunities to provide assistance to our veterans in need through Assisted Living scenarios or homeless shelters.

If you are interested in helping that way, you can contact us at  to get a list of current needs.
Some common donations needs include:

  • miniature bottles of toiletry items
  • Regular sized toiletry items
  • Tshirts, socks, underwear
  • Non-perishable food items
  • Cleaning supplies
  • Magazines, Puzzles
